SPECIAL EVENTS!

Education Committee Chair, and Asst. Supt of Southern Humboldt United School District, Sue Jennings, and President Corinne Stromstand presented the 2007 Soroptimist Scholarships award: Casey Bruckenstein was awarded the $2,000.00 academic scholarship and Kathy Wilcox was awarded the $1,000.00 vocational scholarship. Both are graduates from South Fork High School in the Southern Humboldt United School District. We wish them well in their educational endeavors.

Soroptimist honored the Southern Humboldt School District Spelling Bee champions for 2007. A luncheon was held for them in April. Standing with Sue Jennings and Corinne Stromstad are the students from all of the primary schools of the District. Congratulations to them and their parents for a job well done!
